About Me

My name is Mamta. I wanted to do something I had never done before as part of my millenium resolution. I started attending weekly yoga classes and soon realised how these classes were transforming my mind and body. Working as a pharmacist in a busy NHS environment, I looked forward to my yoga classes as a way to ease of frustration and stress.
Wanting to pursue yoga at a deeper level physically, historically and philosophically, I completed my teacher training with Yoga London (RYT200) in 2016. I discovered that this was just the tip of the iceberg! There is still an ocean full of knowledge to be dived into, to explore and I am very keen to share this with you!
I see yoga as a moving meditation, where each sequence of movement is made mindfully with conscious awareness of breath and body. It is suitable for all regardless of age, body shape and level of fitness. There is something for everyone.
Yoga is so much more than a physical practice. And this is what I want to teach in my classes: there is always room for not only asanas (yoga poses), but also for pranayama (breathing) and meditation.
I like to connect the ancient yogic philosophy with modern life to achieve a sense of being embodied and staying in the present.
